Student answer (Band 5.0)
in many countries people want that they had theur own homes because pay a lot of rent is very difficult for people.because in world there are a lots of crises people face in every day of life so at least owning a home is very positive perspective. because people serve their expensis in bills, taxes and their regular goods they need in their life so i think owning a home is the right decision of a person.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a relevant reason for home ownership—avoiding rent—and state that you see it as positive. The example about people having to choose between rent and medical treatment also supports your view. However, the response addresses the question only partially: the reasons are narrow, and the positive judgement is asserted rather than fully explained. The point about savings and paying bills is difficult to follow and needs a clearer link to owning a home. The response also ends mid-thought (“according to these situation strugli”), leaving the discussion and conclusion incomplete. It is 168 words, below the required 250, so there is not enough development to cover both parts of the task adequately. Add further reasons and explain your position with developed examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic line of thought: you introduce the desire to own a home, give reasons, and provide a health-related example. Phrases such as “because” and “in some situation” attempt to connect ideas. However, the response has no clear paragraph structure or overall progression, and several points run together in long sentences. Repeated use of “because” and “so” makes the links mechanical, while the relationship between savings, taxes, bills, and home ownership is not always clear. The final sentence is unfinished, which disrupts the ending. Organise the response into an introduction, separate body paragraphs for reasons and supporting examples, and a conclusion; use a wider range of clear linking expressions and refer back to ideas explicitly.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “rent,” “owning a home,” “savings,” “taxes,” and “treatment,” so the main subject is generally identifiable. The range is limited, however, and several expressions are inaccurate or unclear, such as “safe side,” “serve their expensis,” and “right perspective.” Spelling errors, including “theur,” “impliment,” and “strugli,” also make parts of the response harder to understand. Repetition of “people,” “rent,” and “bills” limits variety. Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling and collocations. For example, express the financial benefit as “avoid monthly rent payments” and describe medical care as “afford necessary treatment.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, for example, “because people serve their expensis in bills, taxes and their regular goods.” This shows an effort to connect clauses, but the range is limited and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors in verb forms and sentence construction appear in “they should going to pay the rent” and “if people have their own houses so they should keep savings.” Articles, agreement, and punctuation are also inconsistent, and several sentences begin with “because” without a complete main clause. These problems sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to follow. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add a correctly formed subordinate clause, and use full stops to separate ideas.
