Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the prompt: you suggest that owning a home offers independence, personal identity and financial security, then discuss debt, high property prices and reduced mobility as disadvantages. However, the reasons people in some countries value ownership are not fully explained, and several points remain general—for example, the claim that a homeowner “should life with freedom” needs a clearer explanation or a specific illustration. Your view is also not consistently clear: the introduction calls the situation negative, while the conclusion says ownership is important but does not directly state whether you consider the overall situation positive or negative. State your position explicitly and develop the main reasons with clearer cause-and-effect support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for reasons and disadvantages, and a conclusion. This gives the reader an overall route through the discussion. Some progression is weakened by mechanical or unclear linking, such as “To commence with,” “Moreover,” and “At last,” and the opening of the second body paragraph, “Probihing ahead,” is difficult to interpret. Within paragraphs, ideas sometimes jump from personal identity to freedom and then financial security without showing how they connect. Use simpler, more precise transitions and organise each paragraph around one central point, followed by an explanation or example. Clearer references would also help readers follow who “they” refers to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “financial security,” “landlord,” “rent increases,” and “longterm strain of debt.” These choices show an effort to discuss ownership and its consequences, but the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “personalility,” “accomdation,” “stack and locked,” and “benifical”; “showing their wealth” also does not clearly express the intended idea. Some phrases, such as “own property” and “rented house,” are repetitive. Build a more accurate set of topic collocations and check spelling, word forms, and whether each phrase conveys your intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and some attempts at longer structures, including “because they have no fear of landlord and rent increases.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries can make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “everyone observe” needs subject–verb agreement, while “a person have own home should life with freedom” contains several problems with the verb pattern and sentence structure. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in the lowercase “i” and missing spaces after full stops. Practise building accurate sentences first, then combine them using clauses such as “because” and “although.”
