The graph below shows the number of tourists visiting a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The line graph illustrates the number of tourists visiting a Caribbean Island from 2010 and 2017. Units are measured in millions.

Overall, visitors either stayed on the cruise ships or stayed on the island. There was a significant increase in the total number of visitors, whereas people staying on the island saw period of stability majorly but increased gradually. People staying on the cruise ship experienced upward trajectory with varied fluctuations over the period.

Tourist staying on the ship accounted for 0.3 million in 2010 and gradually increasing year-on-year; however, experienced a dip in 2012 to 0.3 million and ultimately peaking at 2 million by 2017. People staying on the island reamined constaint at 0.7 million visitors in 2010 and 2011, then increased to 1.5 million visitors in 2013 and dipped in 2016 to 1.3 million visitors after going thorugh a period of stability till 2015, while ending at 1.5 million visitors by 2017.

In cumulation, the visitors to the caribbean island saw a steady surge in the number of visitors from 1 million in 2010 to 3.5 million by 2017.
