The graph below shows the number of tourists visiting a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The line graph shows the number of tourists who visit the Caribbean island between 2010 to 2017. it also shows the visitors staying on cruise ships, visitors staying on island and the total number of visitors.

Overall the number of visitors staying on the island increased. Also the total number of visitors increased while staying on the island was slightly went up.

In 2010 about 1 million people visited the Caribbean island. 0.3 million visitors stay on cruise ships, About 0.7 million people decided to stay on island.

In 2011 to 2012 the total number of visitors increased to 1.5 million. the amount of visitors staying on cruise ships dropped to 0.3 million, however the visitors staying on the island reached to 1.4 million.

From 2013 to 2017 the amount of visitors reached to 3.5 million. in that period of time visitors staying on the cruise ships 0.3 million to 2 million and the number of people staying on island has slightly decreased in 2016 then it went up to 1.5 million in 2017.
