The graph below shows the number of tourists visiting a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The line graph illustrates the figure of visitors visiting the island named Caribbean between 2010 and 2017. There are two categories on which visitors are staying one are residing on cruise ships, and others are residing in island. the data is measured in millions.

Overall, initially the individuals residing on cruise were at its bottom, whereas, the individuals residing on island have declined at the end of the era.

A glance at a graph shows that the people staying on cruise increased significantly over a period. In 2010, it was at its lowest, which was below 0.5 millions, but in 2011 it rose to 0.5 millions, after that is dropped for two following years, then it surged in 2014 by 1 millions individuals visiting the cruise, in 2015 and 2016 it continued to grow and finally in 2017 it was at its peak, by 2 millions people visiting the cruise.

Getting back to the details, the number of tourist staying on island were initially, higher from staying on cruise which was just over 0.5 millions, by 2011 it witnessed on change. however, after 2012 it grew till 2015 it climbed, while in 2016 it fell by around 1.3 millions, in 2017 it again increased to 1.5 millions.
