The graph presented the number of visitors visiting a island named as Caribbean island between years 2010 and 2017.
The graph had x and y axis with x axis represented the consecutive years from 2010 to 2017 and y axis represented the million number of visitors showed from 0.5 to 4. Overall the number of visitors were increasing between the years 2010 to 2017. The total number of visitors started from1 million in 2010 to up to 3 million in 2017. Mainly the visitors that stayed on cruise ships were increasing.
However the no. of visitors staying on island remained steady for 1 year and then a slight steep from 2011 to 2015, but after then the slope showed us the decline for 1 year and then a slight number increased in the last year, so the number staying on island varied..

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the task by identifying the main trends, such as the overall increase in visitors and the distinction between cruise ship and island-staying tourists. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. The description of the data is occasionally inaccurate or confusing, such as the claim that the number of visitors staying on the island remained the same from 2011 to 2016, which contradicts the visual data. The summary lacks a clear, analytical overview that synthesizes the information effectively. To improve, ensure that the data points cited are accurate and that the 'main features' are clearly highlighted rather than just listing observations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the logical progression is hindered by awkward phrasing and a lack of sophisticated cohesive devices. Transitions between sentences are often mechanical or missing, making the flow feel disjointed. For instance, the jump between the general trend and the specific categories is abrupt. While the paragraphing is present, the internal cohesion within paragraphs needs more variety beyond simple conjunctions. Using a wider range of linking words would help connect ideas more fluidly and improve the overall readability of the report.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety expected at higher bands. There is a reliance on basic verbs like 'showed', 'increased', and 'remained'. Some phrasing is unnatural, such as 'a slight steep' or 'million number of visitors'. The use of 'no.' as an abbreviation is inappropriate for an academic report. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'fluctuated', 'peaked', 'gradual', or 'significant', and avoid informal abbreviations or repetitive sentence structures.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include incorrect article usage ('a island'), subject-verb agreement ('number of visitors were'), and awkward sentence construction ('the graph had x and y axis with x axis represented'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and unnecessary commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence structure and proofreading for basic errors would be beneficial.
