Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all key features of the graph, including the overall trend and specific data points for both categories. You successfully identified the crossover point and the general upward trajectory. However, the report could be improved by ensuring more precise data reporting; for instance, stating '0.5 in 2011' lacks the unit (millions), which is essential for clarity. Additionally, the description of the trends is sometimes slightly repetitive. To reach a higher band, ensure that all comparisons are clearly linked to the specific years and that units are consistently applied throughout the summary.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, an overview, and body paragraphs detailing the trends. You use cohesive devices such as 'however', 'while', and 'after that' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by mechanical phrasing and some awkward transitions. For example, the sentence 'after a dip in 2012, it was significantly increased' is slightly clunky. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the overview from the detailed analysis, which helps the reader follow the progression of information. Improving the variety of cohesive links would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'plateaued', 'moderate increase', and 'visualizes'. However, there are recurring issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'the figure of tourist' (should be 'number of tourists') and 'increased than' (should be 'higher than'). Some phrasing is repetitive, particularly the use of 'the number of visitors who staying on'. To improve, focus on using more precise nouns and adjectives to describe trends and ensure that your collocations are natural and grammatically accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and relative clauses, such as 'visitors who staying on' (should be 'visitors who stayed' or 'visitors staying'). There are also issues with articles and prepositions, such as 'to back at the pervious point'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
