Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the task but fails to provide a clear or accurate summary of the data. The main features are not identified, and the description of trends is confusing and factually disconnected from the provided graph. For instance, the mention of '0.3%' and '0.7%' does not align with the typical data representation for this type of task, and the explanation of the trends is vague and lacks logical support. The response does not provide a clear overview, and the information presented is insufficient to meet the requirements for a higher band score as it fails to report the main features or make relevant comparisons.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The response lacks logical organization and progression. While there are paragraph breaks, the internal structure of the paragraphs is disjointed. Cohesive devices are used incorrectly or in a mechanical way, such as 'To Begin with' and 'on the other hand', which do not effectively link the ideas. The referencing is often unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the intended meaning. The overall arrangement of information is confusing, and the lack of clear transitions between sentences hinders the flow of the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very limited and often inappropriate for an academic report. There are frequent errors in word choice, such as 'hiking' to describe a trend, 'konw' (spelling error), and 'protect' used incorrectly. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to convey the information accurately, and the repetition of basic words like 'visitors' and 'coming' indicates a lack of lexical flexibility. The errors in word formation and usage are frequent and occasionally impede the reader's understanding of the data being described.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often distort the meaning. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'there are many number of individuals were coming', 'visitors was less coming'), tense usage, and sentence structure. The writing consists mostly of simple sentences with incorrect syntax, and there is no evidence of complex structures. Punctuation is also inconsistent. These errors are pervasive and make the text difficult to read, as the grammatical inaccuracies frequently interfere with the clarity of the information provided.
