The graph below shows the number of tourists visiting a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The given line-graph represents the number of tourists visiting a Carribbean Island from the year 2010 to 2017. It consists of three different lines each representing tourists place of stay.

Overall, the x-axis and y-axis illustrates visiting year and number of tourist measured in terms of million respectively. The total number of tourists who stayed at both cruise ship and on island, has recorded continuous growth, and reached at 2.75 million at the year 2015. Likewise, it remained constant for the year 2015. Thereafter, the number of visitor was surged drastically and reached the maximum point i.e. 3.5 million.

In the initial year of 2001, one and half million tourists stayed on island, the number remained constant for the following year 2011. Similarly, steady change was recorded till the mid of 2015. In the year 2015, both the number of tourists stayed in cruise ship and island was in equilibrium point. The flow of tourist living in ship were increasing till the year 2017.
