The graph below shows the number of tourists visiting a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The line graph compare the number of tourists,in millions, who vistied a particular caribbean island between 2010 and 2017 . it show data for three categories of vistiors.
Overall,the total number of tourists increased significantly over the period. While two categaries showed an overall upward trend,one category remained relatively stable with some fluctuations.
The solid line,which represent the total number of vistiors,started at around one millin in 2010and rose steadily each year to reach approximately 3.5 million in 2017. This was the highest figure thriughtout the period.
The dashed line started at about 0.7million in 2010 and increased to a peak of around 1.5 million in 2013. it then remained fairly stable untill 2015 before rising again slightly to about 1.6in 2017.
The dotted line had the lowest number in 2010 at just over 0.2 million. It fluctuated, with a small dip in 2012, But overall it showed the fastest growth, reaching about 2 million by 2017 and becoming the second largest group.
