The graph below shows the number of tourists visiting a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The line chart represents the figure of visitors travelling a specific Caribbean island from 2010 to 2012.
At a glance, it is readily apparent that the maximum number of tourists stayed at on cruise ships over the period, whereas, a least number of travellers staying on island throughout the period.
To commence with, the visitors staying on cruise ship was near about 0.3 million in 2010 these figures than fluctuate about 0.5 million between 2011 to 2012. Then this value grew sharply to reach at the peak of 2 million visitors visited Caribbean island in later years. Furthermore, the visitors staying on island was approximately 0.7 million in former years. In 2012, these figures inclined upto 1.5 million until 2015. In later years it fluctuate around 1.5 million.
Moving ahead, the total number of tourists visiting a Caribbean island was 1 million in 2010. The value was constant in between 2015 and 2016, which was 2.7 million visitors. After that the figure rise considerably to reach at peak of 3.5 million tourists in 2017.
