The graph below shows the number of tourists visiting a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The line graph provides information about the number of travellers of caribbean island between the years 2010 and 2017.
Overall, the total volume of visitors have increased significatly. Although amount of people who preffered to stay on cruise ship was low with gradual up and downs, at last t reached to a great number.
In 2010, the total number of visitors of caribbean island was 1 million, later in [redacted phone] it reached 2.5 million to 2.7 million from 2010 with gradual incriment. Then the same amount of tourist are visited in the year 2016. After all it reached to 3.5 millon in 2017 which is 1 million increase over one year. The cruise ship visitors count was very less in 2010 with less than 1 million and it continued till the next year. After that the count was increased significantly from 0.75 millon in 2011 to 1.5 million in 2013, reaching 1.25 million in 2012. Furthermore, this number continued from 2013 to 2015.The number of visitors remains same in 2017 with 1.5 million however, there is a decline from 1.5 to 1.25 million in 2016.
People chose island has last option to stay. Meanwhile, the number of tourists was flactuated between 0.25 and 0.5 million from 2010 to 2013. Since then, there is a huge increase in the number of visitors staying on island from 1.5 million in 2016 to 2 million in 2017, reaching 1 million in 2014 and 1.25 million in 2015
