Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the task only partially, and it falls short of the minimum 150-word requirement, containing only 141 words. While you attempt to provide an overview and report some features of the graph, the selection of data is sometimes inaccurate or poorly explained. For example, your claim that visitors 'preffer to stayed cruise ships insted of staying on island' misinterprets the trends across the entire period, as island stays were frequently higher or equal during the earlier years. Furthermore, some of your figures, such as stating the total reached '3.7 millions', deviate notably from the visual data provided. To reach a higher level, you must meet the word count requirement, ensure data is accurately reported from the visual source, and develop a clearer, more precise overview of the main trends.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some organisation in your response, but it lacks clear overall progression and logical paragraphing. The entire text is essentially grouped into a single dense block without appropriate separation into an introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. Although you attempt to use transition markers such as 'To initiate with' and 'Additionally', cohesive devices are frequently mechanical, awkward, or inaccurate. Referencing is also not always clear, which makes it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of data. To improve, you need to structure your writing into distinct paragraphs, use a clear overview after the introduction, and employ cohesive devices more naturally to guide the reader smoothly through the comparative information.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate for the task. You attempt some less common items related to data reporting, but this is undermined by noticeable errors in word choice, form, and spelling. Examples of these errors include 'visitng' instead of visiting, 'preffer' instead of preferred, 'stayed' instead of staying, and 'insted' instead of instead. Additionally, expressions such as 'volume drop dramatically' and 'recommended to stayed' demonstrate inappropriate word choice and collocation that can cause some difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher score, you should expand your range of vocabulary, use accurate word forms, and ensure correct spelling throughout your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Your response demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, relying primarily on simple statements that frequently contain basic errors. There are frequent mistakes in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions within grammatical patterns, such as 'its significantly increase', 'prefference of visitor to staying', and 'The total was remain constant'. Attempts at complex structures are often faulty, and punctuation errors are present, including missing spaces after commas and periods. These frequent errors can cause difficulty for the reader and restrict your score. To improve, you should focus on mastering basic sentence structures, ensuring accurate verb forms, and using articles and prepositions correctly.
