Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the overall rise in total visitors, from about 1 million to 3.5 million, and describe the island-staying figure as broadly stable after reaching around 1.5 million. These are relevant main features. However, the overview is unclear: saying the “highest million of tourists stayed total” does not clearly compare the series, and “least number ... stayed on cruise ships and island” is inaccurate because cruise-ship visitors were not consistently the smallest group. There is also a significant date error: cruise-ship figures are described as beginning in 2020, although the chart starts in 2010. Some trends are only loosely reported, so select the key comparisons more precisely and support them with accurate dates and figures.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for the island and cruise-ship figures. This gives the reader a basic route through the information. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, particularly in “Apart from this” and “Moving ahead the remaining details,” which do not clearly signal the relationship between the data. The overview also does not establish a clear comparison to guide the report. Some linking words, such as “However” and “Thereafter,” are used mechanically or where the connection is not fully clear. Group the main trends more logically and use transitions that accurately show contrast, continuation, or change.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of vocabulary, including “depicts,” “remained stable,” “declined,” and “fluctuation,” and the general topic is usually understandable. However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for describing a graph, such as “linear representaion,” “highest million,” “abide on island,” and “alarming pace.” Spelling errors, including “Howevre,” “agian,” and “Therafter,” also make the writing less controlled. Some substitutions for “people” and “travellers” do not improve precision; “visitors” is the clearest term here. Aim for accurate, conventional trend language and check spelling, rather than choosing elaborate expressions that do not fit the data.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses linked with “which,” “then,” and “however,” so there is some variety in structure. The main trends can generally be understood, but errors in verb forms and sentence construction recur. For example, “which inclined rapidly” does not form a natural grammatical description of the total, and “sudden rose seen” lacks a correctly formed verb phrase. In “0.7 million of travellers were abide on island,” the verb construction is faulty, while “this number increased” shifts awkwardly from the earlier plural subject. Practise forming complete clauses with accurate past-tense verbs and consistent subjects, and use punctuation to separate the longer trend descriptions clearly.
