Student answer (Band 5.5)
The line graph features the number of tourist visites the Caribbean Island between 2010 and 2017. There are three different types of lines catagorize the people based on their stay whether they stay on the Cruise ships or on the island and the total number of visitors.
If we look closely to the patern of people who choice to stay on the Cruise ship over the years we get to see that firstly it increase gradually over a year from 0.3 million to o.5 million . for the next year it goes down to the intial number of visitors than again the line shows progres towards the up with slight changes from 2012 to 2017 and ends at 2 million visitors.
on the other hand, the people who plan their stay on the Island their number stay steady at 0.7 million for a year from 2010 to 2011 then gradually increases for two years to reach at the 1.5 million. For the next two years the number of visitors stay the same. From 2015 to 2016 it get down to the 1.3 million at at the last maintained it number at 1.5million again.
In Total the people visits the Island vents up gradually from 2010 starting at 1 million to the 2015 where number reaches the 2.7 million figure next years stays the same and the graph ends at the 3.5 million poeple. if we compare them people likes to choose island from 2010 to 2015 then for next two years people likes the Cruise more.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You cover all three series and report several key movements accurately: cruise-ship visitors rise overall to 2 million, island-staying visitors reach about 1.5 million and fluctuate slightly, and the total ends at 3.5 million. The comparison that island stays were more numerous earlier while cruise visitors became more numerous at the end is also relevant. However, the overview is not clearly separated or fully developed, and some details are imprecise: the total is already about 2.75 million in 2015 and remains there in 2016, rather than simply rising to that figure in 2015 and then staying level for the “next years.” Clarify the main overall pattern and make the crossover timing explicit to report the most important features more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a generally understandable sequence: an introduction, a paragraph on each visitor category, and a final comparison. Time markers such as “from 2010 to 2011,” “for the next two years,” and “on the other hand” help the reader follow the changes. However, the organisation is somewhat mechanical, with each series described in turn and the overall comparison appearing only at the end. Some links and references are unclear, particularly “then for next two years people likes the Cruise more,” which does not specify the years or clearly connect to the figures. Use a distinct overview after the introduction, group related trends, and make comparisons at the relevant points rather than relying mainly on sequential descriptions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “gradually,” “steady,” “increases,” and “reaches,” and terms such as “total number of visitors” make the subject clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “people who choice to stay,” “the line shows progres towards the up,” and “the graph ends at the 3.5 million poeple.” Spelling errors such as “visites,” “catagorize,” and “patern” are also noticeable and reduce precision. Aim for standard chart language and accurate forms, for example “visitors staying on cruise ships,” “rose,” “fell,” and “stood at.” This would make the descriptions more concise and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the reader can usually understand the intended trends. However, complex sentences are often not controlled accurately, and errors occur in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “their number stay steady” should be “their number stayed steady,” while “it get down” needs “it went down.” The final sentence, “if we compare them people likes to choose island,” is difficult to follow because its clause structure and agreement are faulty. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, with several long sentences joined without clear boundaries. Practise forming accurate past-tense sentences and use shorter, well-punctuated comparisons before adding more complex structures.
