And the number of those peoples were two Millions. There is also increase in the visitors staying on the island that exceeds to 1.5 Millions.
It demonstrates the increase in the tourists in the following year. Nevertheless, those who stayed on the ships also show the expansion.
Those who stayed on the island faced some downfall in the preceding years.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the overall rise in tourist numbers and include relevant endpoint figures: the total grows from about 1 million in 2010 to 3.5 million in 2017, while cruise-ship visitors reach 2 million. These details show a partial understanding of the graph. However, the account is under-developed and does not clearly compare the two accommodation groups across the period. The statement that island visitors “faced some downfall in the preceding years” is vague and potentially misleading: their number rose overall, with a small dip from 1.5 million in 2015 to 1.25 million in 2016. Add a clear overview of the main patterns and select key intermediate figures, including the steady cruise-ship growth after 2012 and the relative stability of island stays.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has separate paragraphs and uses basic linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Moreover,” and “Nevertheless,” so there is some attempt to organise the information. However, the progression is not consistently clear: the second paragraph begins “On the other hand” without setting up a contrast, and the final two paragraphs repeat the general idea of growth rather than developing a chronological comparison. Some references are also unclear, particularly “It demonstrates the increase” and “those who stayed on the ships.” Group the overview first, then compare the two visitor categories in a logical sequence, using precise references and fewer repetitive transitions. This would make the relationships between the figures easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “visitors,” “cruise ships,” “island,” and “increase,” and the reader can generally identify the subject of each sentence. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for describing a graph. “Adventurists” does not mean tourists, while “massive increase” and “expansion” are imprecise descriptions of the data. There are also spelling and form errors, such as “gragh,” “alot,” and “peoples.” Aim for accurate, neutral reporting language and vary the verbs used to describe trends, for example “rose,” “remained stable,” and “declined slightly.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts a few different sentence patterns, including a contrast with “Whereas” and a relative clause in “those who stayed on the island.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward. For example, “the number of tourists have expanded” should use a singular verb, and “the number of visitors were one Million” has the same agreement problem. “Only a few were stayed” uses an incorrect passive form, while “In 2017, it tourists number exceed” is difficult to parse. Practise building accurate sentences around “the number of…” and use simple past forms consistently when reporting the years shown.
