Student answer (Band 5.0)
In todays developing century most of people are using smart phones and interesting part is almost every generation has their own smart phones and because of which a majority of individuals are habituated of using smart devices in their day to day life. However it is noticed that some of the people who are old are still having a habit of using newpapers and books which is a good habit. I completely agree, that ignoring the newspaper and books makes the demand decline which can effects the overall production of newpapers and books in future.which may result in government revenue and employbility which can be discuss further.
firstly, i would like to highlight that newspapers and books play a dominant role in the life of mankind as it provides the significant knowledge to people. But in this developing era most of the people are consuming that knowledge through smart phones which is free on internet which is resuting, in drop of a manufacturing of books and newspapers due to which the jobs of many employees who works in this industry will be in danger. which could also create huge unemployment in future. For example, one of my friend who used to work in printing factory had fired due to less demand in the field of printing.
lastly, the books and newspapers also plays an vital role in revenue generation in the form of tax which may also effect and owing to which is may dicrease the fund of governments which may result in our nations budget.
To conclude, i suggest many of the young generation should restrict themselves from smart devices and should utilize the books and newspapers and create a habit of reading the books and newspapers in thier daily routines.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a position by saying, “I completely agree,” and you identify relevant consequences, including reduced demand for printed products, possible job losses, and lower tax revenue. These points show an attempt to address the topic. However, the response only partially answers the central question: it does not clearly examine whether people will be able to read everything online without paying, and the discussion focuses more on the effects of declining print sales than on why printed books and newspapers may or may not disappear. The conclusion also shifts to advising young people to use print, which does not fully follow from your stated agreement. Develop your position with specific reasons and examples directly comparing online and printed reading.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion, and signposts such as “firstly,” “lastly” and “to conclude” help show the intended structure. However, progression between ideas is limited: the first body paragraph moves from the value of reading to free online content, then to industry jobs, without fully explaining each link. The second body paragraph is brief and its connection between print sales, tax revenue and the national budget is not clearly developed. Some linking is mechanical, and sentence boundaries are often unclear, as in “in future.which may result” and “unemployment in future. For example”. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, explain it step by step, and use accurate punctuation and referencing to make the relationships clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “demand,” “production,” “unemployment,” “revenue generation” and “printing factory,” which helps communicate the general subject. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “play a dominant role” and “significant knowledge.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, including “habituated of using,” “drop of a manufacturing,” and “in the form of tax.” Spelling errors such as “newpapers,” “resuting” and “employbility” also reduce precision. Aim for natural, accurate combinations such as “become accustomed to using,” “a decline in print production,” and “tax revenue,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “which” and “as,” but complex sentences are often not controlled successfully. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in examples such as “newspapers and books also plays” and “employees who works”; the latter should use a plural verb. Articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “an vital role” and “had fired,” while several sentence fragments follow full stops, such as “which may result in government revenue and employbility.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly at sentence beginnings. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurately formed subordinate clauses.
