To commence with, one of the most significant reasons is that people can save money and develop ideas by using the internet. They explore the internet and read the books at everywhere and any time. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you firmly agree that online access will reduce purchases of printed newspapers and books. You give relevant reasons, including saving money, accessing books at any time, and watching live news, and the student example adds some support. However, the response addresses the claim only partially because it does not examine the important condition that online material will be available without payment. It also treats newspapers and books as if they will disappear equally, without considering why some people may continue to buy printed books or newspapers. Several points, such as saving money and having no need to buy print, are repeated rather than developed. Explain the free-access aspect directly and extend each main reason with a specific explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas generally move from online reading to news access, and signposts such as “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes mechanical: “internet,” “any time and anywhere,” and not needing to buy print recur without adding much new information. Some links are unclear, as in “develop ideas by using the internet,” which does not clearly connect to the following example about students. References such as “they” and “all the things” are also vague. To improve, organise each body paragraph around one distinct reason and use clearer references and more specific links between claims and examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “printed newspapers,” “live news,” “institutions,” and “develop skills.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “one of the most significant reasons” and “another crucial factor.” However, the range is limited by repeated general words and phrases, especially “internet,” “things,” “available,” and “save money.” Several collocations or word choices are unnatural, including “the access of internet,” “catch ideas,” and “daily bases news”; spelling errors such as “interent” and “newspapaers” are noticeable. These choices sometimes make the meaning less precise. Build a wider set of accurate expressions for online access, reading habits, and printed media, and check spelling and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession beginning “Although institutions provide the books” and a reason clause with “because.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur often enough to affect clarity. For example, “all the news are” should use a singular verb, while “they can also reads” has an incorrect verb form. In “They can read the books at everywhere,” the preposition is unnecessary, and “read your favourite author books” has unclear pronoun agreement and noun structure. Some sentences also combine ideas awkwardly, such as “another crucial factor is considered to that.” Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then use complex clauses with careful subject–verb agreement and pronoun reference.
