Student answer (Band 7.0)
It is predicted by individuals that in near future as we are living in digital era, the trend of printed newspaper or books will come to end as everything are available on internet without paying for it. I firmly agree with this statement. As reading books or newspaper on internet or online platform will become more convenient as also it would become free for them to read whatever they want online by using free websites, and they can get all the reading materials on on platform without searching it from different websites.
To embark on this discussion, as we are residing in high-tech era where technology is evolving day-by-day everything is available on one click or swipe. reading newspaper or books online will become more common as it would give convenience to the readers, as they could get whichever information or books for free so reading printed books or newspaper will be of negligible use, and as they don't have to pay for reading. For instance, high school student who have to spend lot on getting their textbooks and reference books which eventually increase their expense. Rather they could get the pdfs of their textbooks from online platforms.
What is more, readers could get more books or information on one platform, whereas if they read it manually they have gather lots of information or have to buy different books instead while using the online platform they can read it any where from any corner of the world .For example, kindle is most popular website used for reading wide range of books and for news their are many more websites or app such as Inshorts.
To conclude with, because of technological advancement reading books or newspaper online has become more reliable and convenient as it became cheaper and wide variety of books can be found on one platform.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding convenience and cost-effectiveness are relevant and supported by examples like Kindle and Inshorts. However, the development is somewhat repetitive; the points about 'convenience' and 'free access' are restated in each paragraph without significant new depth. To reach a higher band, you should explore counter-arguments or provide more nuanced analysis, such as the impact on journalism or the tactile experience of reading, to demonstrate a more sophisticated engagement with the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To embark on this discussion', 'What is more', and 'To conclude with'. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly unnatural, and the flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by repetitive phrasing. Referencing is generally clear, but the internal structure of sentences could be improved to ensure smoother transitions between ideas. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of the argument is easy to follow throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'digital era', 'technological advancement', and 'reference books'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there is a reliance on basic descriptors like 'good' or 'convenient'. There are also minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'residing in high-tech era' (should be 'living in a high-tech era') and 'gather lots of information' (should be 'gather a lot of information'). Expanding your range of synonyms and collocations would improve your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('everything are available', 'student who have to spend') and article usage ('in near future'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some run-on sentences and missing commas. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic agreement errors and varying your sentence structure with more complex subordinating clauses.
