Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you provide reasons for your agreement, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the second paragraph mentions the convenience of e-books, but the supporting example regarding a specific newspaper is vague and does not clearly illustrate the 'free of charge' aspect. The counter-argument in the third paragraph is slightly contradictory to your initial stance, as it discusses the disadvantages of digital media and the cost of subscriptions, which weakens your overall position. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed point that directly supports your thesis.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'To initiate with' and 'at that time' are used awkwardly, which disrupts the flow of ideas. The transition between the advantages and disadvantages is abrupt, and the conclusion does not effectively synthesize the arguments presented. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that the relationship between sentences is logical and clear throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms such as 'easy', 'available', and 'books/newspapers'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'easy to available on' instead of 'easily accessible' and 'damage their eyes' (which is acceptable but could be more precise, e.g., 'cause eye strain'). The phrase 'people behavior will be becomes violence' is grammatically incorrect and uses imprecise vocabulary. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and synonyms to express your ideas with greater precision and variety.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'all book or newspaper is available'), article usage, and sentence structure (e.g., 'a newspaper which name is Sandesh'). The use of complex sentences is limited and often results in errors, such as 'people use their phone for everything at that time they disturb both way physically and mentally'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions, before attempting more complex structures.
