Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion on the future of printed media. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention environmental benefits and cost-effectiveness, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about 'forest eradicate' is mentioned but not fully explored. To reach a higher band, you need to provide more detailed explanations and examples to support your position. The conclusion is present but somewhat simplistic, merely restating the main point without synthesising the arguments effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'In my opinion , i am totally agree with the sentances' and 'On other hand'. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph where sentences feel like a list of points rather than a cohesive argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows logically from the previous one will significantly improve the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'good', 'bad', and 'use'. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'forest eradicate' instead of 'deforestation' and 'eye slight' instead of 'eyesight'. Some words are used incorrectly, such as 'consent' when you likely meant 'opinion'. To improve, you should focus on learning collocations and more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas more naturally and accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'nobody want', 'people are not cut trees'), article usage, and sentence structure. The range of grammatical structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. There are very few attempts at complex structures, and when they are used, they often contain errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, verb tenses, and punctuation before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
