Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have addressed the prompt by providing a clear position and discussing both sides of the argument. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, your argument regarding 'social networking websites' as a reason for reading online is not entirely relevant to the topic of books and newspapers. Furthermore, the claim that online reading is 'without paid' is an overgeneralization, as many digital platforms require subscriptions. To reach a higher band, ensure your supporting points are more directly linked to the specific medium of books and newspapers and provide more nuanced analysis rather than relying on general statements about technology.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Furthermore,' 'On the other hand,' and 'First and foremost,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'In other words, In future time.' Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and some sentences lack smooth flow due to grammatical errors. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help your writing feel more natural and cohesive.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to discuss the topic, including terms like 'retinal damage,' 'harmful radiation,' and 'digital platforms.' However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'without paid' instead of 'free of charge,' 'serves more comfortable' instead of 'is more convenient,' and 'dose not have any highlights options.' These errors occasionally impede the flow of your argument. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that you use words in their correct grammatical form (e.g., using adjectives versus nouns correctly).
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('smartphone and laptop produced'), incorrect verb forms ('they dose not have'), and awkward phrasing ('This trend is attributed by various factors'). Punctuation is generally functional, but some sentences are clunky. While your meaning is usually clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and tense consistency.
