Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. While you mention that people prefer mobile phones and the internet, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. The claim that 'nobody' will buy books or newspapers is an over-generalisation that is not supported by nuanced reasoning. To improve, you should provide more detailed explanations for your points, such as discussing the convenience of digital media versus the tactile experience of physical books, rather than simply repeating that people are 'busy' or that books are 'boring'.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and often inaccurate. For example, phrases like 'firstly' and 'secondly' are used, but the internal flow within paragraphs is disjointed. There is a lack of variety in linking words, and the transition between sentences is often abrupt. The concluding paragraph attempts to summarise the main points, but the repetition of the prompt's language makes the progression feel circular rather than logical.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic words like 'new', 'things', 'people', and 'technologies'. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'technologes', 'modren', 'concolution', and 'futrue'. The word choice is often imprecise, such as 'fastly do work' or 'open mindind'. To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary to include more academic and topic-specific terms, and ensure that you use words in their correct form and context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people are shift', 'every person are'), incorrect verb tenses, and missing articles. Sentence structures are predominantly simple, and attempts at more complex sentences are often marred by errors in word order and punctuation. For instance, 'the future time is printer newspapers or books are very rare' is grammatically incoherent. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of prepositions to improve clarity.
