Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the future,There is a higher probability that, everyone will prefer to read stories online rather than having Printed ones.I strongly agree to this explaination , due to development Social Media.

First,as the world, everything is changing day by day and time to time,For example, introduction of Smartphones, recently we have average number of people who use Internet through phone ,they explore a lot of news which is happening around the world and also there is presence of beneficial novels they can read .This is just an indication to an improvement in life style as compared to late century.Secondly, Introduction of Computers at Community level, this has also bring an impact on declined of utilising printed Books as well as stories. For instance most of companies or organisation plant Computers In their offices which create opportunities for employees to the watch and read through computer , which means with time members will start to ignore print e items due to accebility to Computers in their working places. Not only that Other employers offers free wi-fi to their employees and this provide a wide range of decreasing the ability to use other alternatives such as newspaper, since they are able to access them online . Lastly , availability of TV in residential house, this also act as a barrier to printed media since families pay attention to live screen news from Tv station since it's time consuming than walking to shop just to buying newspaper .

In conclusion,Presence of Technology such as smartphone, Computers,wi-Fi and Internet itself shows how significant is online media as compared to printed.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is limited. While you mention smartphones, computers, and TVs as reasons for the decline of print media, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. The prompt asks about the future and the specific issue of 'without paying' (free access), which is not fully explored. The ideas are relevant but remain at a surface level, and the conclusion is very brief. To improve, ensure you fully address all aspects of the prompt, including the economic implication of free online content, and provide more detailed explanations for your claims.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often interrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. While you use linking words like 'First', 'Secondly', and 'Lastly', they are sometimes used incorrectly or followed by fragmented ideas. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks cohesion. To improve, focus on using cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother reading experience.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms and some phrases are used incorrectly, such as 'declined of utilising' instead of 'decline in the use of'. There are also issues with word formation and collocation, such as 'print e items' and 'accebility'. While your meaning is generally clear, the lack of variety and the frequent errors in word choice limit the score. Try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to digital media and publishing to demonstrate a wider range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('has also bring'), missing articles, punctuation errors (such as spaces before commas), and awkward sentence construction. These errors are noticeable and occasionally impede the flow of the text. While you attempt to use complex sentences, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on basic sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, and correct punctuation. Proofreading your work for these common errors before submitting will significantly improve your clarity and accuracy.
