To begin with, in the current era most of the people are using their mobile application to read news and books that they want. Additionally, using online applications can help them to know the news very fast and they can depend on it also they can trust the online news. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument regarding environmental benefits is relevant, but the explanation remains superficial. The essay would benefit from more nuanced discussion, such as acknowledging the potential persistence of physical books for cultural or educational reasons, rather than simply repeating that 'nobody will buy' them. The conclusion is slightly contradictory, as the final sentence suggests a transition to online reading rather than reinforcing the main argument about the total disappearance of printed media. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported point.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' are used to signal the structure. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'that is going on it', which lacks a clear antecedent. Additionally, some sentences are poorly linked, creating a slightly disjointed flow. Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer to previous nouns would enhance the overall coherence of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is frequent repetition of basic terms like 'online applications', 'printed newspapers', and 'books'. Some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'can only gotten from trees' (should be 'can only be obtained') and 'switch to printed to online'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary or idiomatic expressions limits the score. To improve, try to incorporate more varied synonyms and precise collocations related to technology and media consumption.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('I strongly agrees', 'some individuals who is living'), incorrect verb forms ('can only gotten'), and punctuation errors, such as the comma splice in 'printing cost, In contrast'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To achieve a higher score, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and refining the use of complex sentence structures to ensure they are error-free.
