Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this contemporary era, nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be abe to learn everything thing they want online without paying. I will partially agree with this statement. I will about this statement with my viewpoint in upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, there are some benefit to everything online. The first predictable is people know more and more knowledge from internet. Online news is available on internet on any time and anywhere. Nowadays people have smart phone and tablets which gave news in few seconds without spending any money on newspapers. In addition newspapers gave news after two or three days but online news gave in just seconds. For example, when a person want to know about national and international news while working, traveling they easily watch news on Mobile phone. Therefore, many people choose Mobile phone for watching news and avoid newspapers.
Shifting towards , there are also some demerits to read news on Mobile phone. First is, when people prefer to watch news on Mobile phone , mobile phone impact on eyes . To elaborate it , when people spend more and time on phone . Some people especially, older people prefer to read phisical newspaper because they feel comfortable and easier to read news on paper. In addition I believe that price of newspapers and net pakage of internet are similar . It depends on person which they select.
In conclusion I partially agree with this statement because news on paper and on internet have some merit and demerits.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a partial stance, but the development is limited. While you mention both the benefits of online media and the drawbacks, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about 'mobile phones impacting eyes' is a valid idea but is not fully explored in the context of the prompt's focus on the future of printed media. To improve, ensure that each paragraph provides a clear, well-supported argument that directly relates to why people might or might not abandon physical books and newspapers entirely. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not effectively summarize the main points discussed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'The first predictable is' and 'Shifting towards' are used incorrectly or sound unnatural. Additionally, the transition between ideas within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the other hand') more naturally and ensure that each sentence flows logically from the previous one. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making some sentences difficult to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'predictable' instead of 'advantage' or 'benefit', and 'net pakage' instead of 'internet subscription'. Spelling errors, such as 'abe' for 'able' and 'phisical' for 'physical', also occur. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to digital media and traditional publishing, and pay closer attention to collocations to ensure your word choices sound natural in an academic context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'when a person want to know' (subject-verb agreement) and 'mobile phone impact on eyes' (missing auxiliary verb). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of commas. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Aim to incorporate a wider variety of complex structures, such as relative clauses or conditional sentences, while ensuring they are grammatically accurate.
