Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying.
The surprising future belongs to developments in the field of technology ,science and new discoveries. Man from the early age to this stage of life is struggling for the betterment of the human life. All the discoveries and inventions are a result of this continuous journey. Scientists have been working day and night to make new devices for the ease of the humans.
Nowadays, there are only few people left who are readers of books and newspapers. They are habitual of reading. Reading different book, articles and newspapers gives them the real happiness of life. They don`t bother themselves for the online reading, rather they consider it awkward reading something online or even on the television.
If we discuss about the young generation, they have different interests and hobbies. The young people like to spend most of their time and energy on different online platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. For them, reading books and newspapers is an old fashioned trend. They don`t bother themselves for reading their academic books, rather they utilize their precious time operating different electronic gadgets like android mobile phones and laptops for their study purpose.
It is a well said statement that in the future nobody will buy the printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything online without paying for them. The online learning enables the reader to approach the books online with buying. Most of the books and newspapers are available online and one can reach them in few clicks.
In conclusion, I want to mention the importance of emerging technology that has the capacity to facilitate the human in reading different books and newspapers.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt but lacks a clear, consistent position. While you acknowledge the shift toward online content, you do not explicitly state whether you agree or disagree with the absolute nature of the statement (that 'nobody' will buy printed materials). The ideas are somewhat repetitive, focusing on general technological progress rather than the specific debate regarding the future of physical media. To improve, ensure you directly answer the 'to what extent' aspect in the introduction and provide balanced, well-developed arguments that address the counter-arguments (e.g., the tactile experience of books or the reliability of physical archives) to demonstrate a more nuanced understanding of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the logical progression between ideas is sometimes weak. For example, the transition from the general discussion of technology to the habits of 'few people' is abrupt. The use of cohesive devices is limited and occasionally mechanical (e.g., 'If we discuss about...'). To reach a higher band, you should use a wider variety of linking words and phrases to connect sentences and paragraphs more fluidly, ensuring that each paragraph builds logically upon the previous one rather than simply listing observations.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'make new devices' and 'real happiness of life'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'bother themselves for the online reading' and 'approach the books online with buying', which hinder clarity. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to technology and media, and try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary to express your ideas with greater nuance and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede flow. Issues include incorrect preposition usage ('discuss about'), article misuse ('the young generation'), and awkward phrasing ('It is a well said statement'). While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and refining your sentence construction to ensure that your complex structures are both accurate and natural-sounding.
