Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the task by providing a clear opinion on the statement, indicating partial agreement. However, it lacks depth and full development of ideas. The points raised are somewhat underexplored, such as the potential drawbacks of digital media, which are briefly mentioned but not elaborated upon. The conclusion does not effectively summarize the arguments presented, leading to a weaker overall position. For a higher score, more comprehensive reasons and examples should be incorporated.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

Coherence and cohesion are present but need improvement. The essay has a logical structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the transitions between ideas are sometimes abrupt, and certain sentences lack clarity. For example, phrases like "Regardless of" at the beginning of a sentence disrupt the flow. Using clearer linking words and better paragraphing would enhance the overall coherence, making the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The range of vocabulary is limited, and inaccuracies appear throughout the text. Words like "indispensable" and "aggressive" are used appropriately, but phrases like "weak eyeside" and "impect on people life" show a lack of control over lexical choices. Additionally, more varied vocabulary to describe ideas and a broader range of expressions could improve the overall impression. There's potential for enhanced clarity and sophistication in word choice.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

There are several grammatical errors, including issues with article use, verb forms, and sentence structure. For instance, phrases such as "this will be able to read" and "the people became more aggressive" reflect confusion in verb-tense agreement and subject-verb relationships. Some sentences are run-on or lack necessary punctuation, leading to decreased readability. Attention to grammatical accuracy and a variety of sentence structures would bolster the score.

Overall feedback

Your essay demonstrates a clear understanding of the task, but there are several areas for improvement. Aim to expand on your ideas more fully, offering specific examples to support your points. Work on engaging transitions to better guide the reader through your argument. Additionally, focus on refining your vocabulary and grammar; avoiding inaccuracies will enhance clarity. Rethinking difficult phrases and incorporating a variety of sentence structures will further strengthen your writing. Consider drafting multiple outlines before finalizing your argument to ensure a well-rounded response.
