Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you attempt to explain why online reading is preferred, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. The second body paragraph is particularly problematic as it contradicts your initial stance by discussing the benefits of printed books, which confuses your position. To improve, ensure that every paragraph directly supports your thesis statement and provides specific, logical examples rather than general assertions. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not effectively summarize the main points presented.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical, such as the repetitive use of 'In modern era' or 'In online'. Transitions between sentences are often missing or awkward, making it difficult for the reader to follow your logic. For instance, the shift from discussing online reading to the disadvantages of the internet in the second paragraph lacks a clear signpost. Improving the use of linking words like 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'conversely' would significantly enhance the logical progression of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and often repetitive. You frequently use the same phrases, such as 'read the newspaper on the online' and 'printed books', which limits the range of your expression. There are also several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'everything will be provided on the internet' and 'more health issues will happened'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider variety of topic-specific vocabulary related to digital media and publishing, and focus on using words in their correct grammatical context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with verb tense consistency (e.g., 'will be... will happened'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'In modern technology many people read the books on online and they can't buy the printed books because everything will be provided on the internet.' The lack of control over complex structures makes the writing difficult to follow. Focusing on basic sentence construction and ensuring subject-verb agreement would be a good starting point for improvement.
