Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both sides of the argument regarding printed versus online media. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention pros and cons, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about 'eye ability' and 'health hazards' is mentioned but not fully explored or supported with clear reasoning. The position is stated in the introduction, but the conclusion is slightly weak and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea with specific examples or logical explanations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'Initially' and 'In contrast' are used, but the transitions between sentences are sometimes abrupt. There is also a lack of variety in linking words, and some sentences feel disconnected from the previous ones. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making the progression of ideas feel somewhat disjointed. Improving the use of cohesive devices to link sentences more naturally would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good' or 'bad' (implied) and struggle with collocations, such as 'acquire something just through a click' or 'eye ability should decreased'. There are also instances of word-choice errors, such as 'maximum depend of our like way'. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to technology and media, and try to use more precise synonyms to avoid repetition and improve the sophistication of your expression.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'most of the people not buy'), tense usage (e.g., 'circumstances that was exist'), and modal verb misuse (e.g., 'ability should decreased'). Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors in word order or clause construction. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on mastering basic sentence structures, ensuring correct verb tenses, and reducing the frequency of errors in articles and prepositions.
