Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state your position clearly in the introduction, the arguments are under-developed. For instance, the point regarding eyesight is repetitive and lacks a clear link to why this would prevent the decline of printed media. Furthermore, the argument about 'fake websites' is relevant but lacks sufficient explanation or examples to fully support your stance. To improve, you must expand on your points with more depth and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for a full discussion of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often hindered by awkward phrasing and unclear transitions. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Additionally', the connections between sentences are sometimes mechanical or confusing. For example, the transition between the health argument and the digital verification argument is abrupt. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'Additionally, in study case the significant use of eyesight required,' which lacks a clear subject and logical connection to the previous paragraph. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'diminshining this dependency' (diminishing) and 'less vision' (poor eyesight). You also use 'defaulted vision' incorrectly in this context. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the repetition of basic terms limits your score. To improve, focus on learning collocations related to technology and media, and ensure you are using words in their correct grammatical form.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Youth has became', 'Many young age people had became') and incorrect preposition usage ('exhausted to the overuse'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic verb tenses and ensuring subject-verb agreement, as well as proofreading for common slips.
