IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
It often argued that printed newspapers and books will eventually become obsolete because people will be able to access all the information they need online free of charge. Although digital media is becoming increasingly popular, I disagree with the view that printed publication will completely disappere.
There are several reasons why online information is becoming more attractive. First the internate provides instant access to vast amount of information, allowing people to read news, acadmic articles and books from almost anywhere. In addition, online content can be updated immediatly, whereas printed newspapers can become outdated within a day .
