Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. While you mention reasons such as time constraints and cost, these points are not fully extended or supported with specific examples or logical depth. The argument remains somewhat superficial, and the conclusion simply restates the initial position without adding insight. To improve, you should focus on providing more detailed explanations for your claims—for instance, explaining why digital access is more convenient rather than just stating it exists. The inclusion of a counter-argument regarding health is relevant, but it is not well-integrated into the overall argument structure.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'One of the most reason is' or 'On other hand'. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the transition between the benefits of technology and the health concerns. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences is hindered by repetitive sentence structures. To achieve a higher band, you should work on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that connects logically to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'technology', 'books', and 'internet'. There are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'technology will be give the effect' and 'it will be create the impactful'. Some phrases are unclear, such as 'it grown in the era of technology'. To improve, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'digital media', 'accessibility', 'convenience', or 'physical publications', and focus on learning the correct word forms and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with verb tenses and auxiliary verbs, such as 'technology will be give', 'will be no time', and 'individuals will be not give'. Sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. Subject-verb agreement and article usage are also inconsistent. To improve, you need to focus on the correct formation of future tenses and the use of modal verbs. Reviewing basic sentence construction will help you reduce the frequency of errors and improve the overall clarity of your writing.
