Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the idea that printed media will disappear. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. While you mention technological advancement and the reliability of books, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. The essay tends to over-generalize, such as claiming 'most people' will never choose online resources, without providing supporting evidence or logical expansion. To improve, you should focus on developing each paragraph with a clear topic sentence followed by a detailed explanation or a concrete example to support your stance.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as 'Althrough they maybe prefer' or 'Further more'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult to track the flow of your argument. For instance, the transition between the idea of 'free approach' and 'youth way of learning' is abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'knowledge', 'information', and 'resources'. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'traditional ways of gaining knowledge' (should be 'traditional methods') and 'take place in future' (should be 'replace'). Some phrases are non-standard, such as 'human tradition spending way of lives'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations related to the topic of technology and media.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Technological advancement make big impact'), tense usage, and sentence structure (e.g., 'I am totally disagree'). The range of structures is limited, with a reliance on simple sentences. Complex structures are attempted but are often faulty, such as 'If people can, by free approach to online resources... may a little change'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring consistent verb forms before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
