IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.5)
Indubitably, in modern era, everything is getting digital such as daily news. I strongly agree that after few decades, every individual will prefer to read everything online at free of cost and avoid will avoid to purchase physical newspapers and books. In this essay, I will articulate my opinion in subsequent paragraphs.
At the outset, there are many reasons of reading the digital books and news instead of buying the printed books and newspaper and first and foremost is it saves will save money of customers. To describe it more, the whole process from creating the pages, getting printed to distributing demands large amount of money and it can is save be collected by buyers only. whereas, the digital books and news are of cost free. For example, a books of UPSC exam costs around 1000 rs. but some book is on online platforms at no cost.
More over, the another main reason is online news and books updates very quickly. To be more precise, every latest news spread across the world in less than a minute whereas, newspaper containing current day's news comes on next days. Furthermore, reading online is very convenient and easy to use as large and heavy books and papers is not compulsory to carry anymore while travelling because in modern society, everyone has personal mobile phones and internet.
To recapitulate, there are numerous logical reasons that in the future nobody will buy printed newspapers and books because they will able to read it online without paying such as saving money, instant news or updated books and more reliable.
