IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the modern era the people will not buying newspaper and books because everything will be available on related websites. I am fully agree with this, because i believe that everything readily available on internet.
on the one hand, people are start losing interest in reading books and newspaper because they have to buy books or newspaper from store. firstly the newspaer and e-books are availabe on internet and easily accessible on phone a person can read books anytime. Nowadays every news are share on different news channel such as BBC NEWS share news with people around the world. for example the people are now prefer to publish books in PDF form because it is cheap. secondly the ebooks are reduce the consumption of paper and inks which is beneficial for the environment. Online updates are instant while the newspaper are day old.
on the other hand, some of people are prefer books over the ebooks because they feel comfortable and easy only by reading the physical books. some of people have alarge collection of books. in some places there are no internet due to this study online are very difficult for them. Rural areas older people are still perfer printed books. when they have yo read books they mostly go to libraries. on internet sometimes the feke news are post by the people. so that why the people trusted mostly on the newspaper.
IN conclusion, altough the future will see the significant shift toward the ebooks and online newspaper. i believe that some people are still prefer print newspaper and books because they feels them. Both of the form likely to co exists.
