IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the future, everybody will prefer to read newspapers and books digitally instant to buy it by paying.
There are many advantages and disadvenges in both aspects but I would prefer to buy books and newspapers.
there are many disadvantages of reading books digitally, such as people spending a lot of time on mobile phones reading books and it weaken their eyesight, and there are a lot of distraction appliction in the mobile people spend alot of time on istragram, facebook etc without knowing thier preciuse time is wasting on it. For instant, teh when I study online book on my mobile phone, I always tried very hard to maintain my all concentraction on reading the book but when somebody sends me a message or reels on Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook applications, these types of notifications are the main cause of distraction from my study. On the other hand, the main advantage is that students are easily assisiable to the all type of book on social media appliction instead of searching it on the different shops of the differnet cities and buy that book.
The main advantage of the printed books and newspapers is that they make notes on it and make important heading on it and due to these book they make good concentration on reading books. In the future, Bookshops are closing due to less number of customers who are fond of reading printed books. For instant, I have a habit to wrote down crucial points on the side of the book and marks important point and main theme of the taht topic that help me alot when I again read that book .
