IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often agrued that people will prefer to study online material instead of buying books or newspapers. I completely agree with this statement because readers can access unlimited information and feel convenient while accessing books.
One of the primary reason is that poeple can explore anything they want without paying any cost. This means that, when people need any information, they can access vast information by visting different cites that are relaible and authentic. As a result, they do not need to buy several books for accessing any information regarding any topic.However, in past people need to purcahse many books for gaining chunks of information or data. For instance, Amazon kindle provides free access to many aunthetic books related to any topic.
Another reason behind this phenomenon is that people feel convenient while using internet. That is to say, when learners require any data, they just need to click a single button without any time bound restriction. Therefore, this allows them to get data at any time when they need it without going anywhere or considring the time of the day.
In conlusion, people will not incline towards buy physical books in future as online facility allows them to acquire data at any time which provides them a lot of convenience and easy accessibility of wider information without exploring or buying many books.
