IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the future people will resist to purchase hard copy of books and newspapers due to easy access of everything online free of charge. I completely agree with the staement, individuals will be able to read books and other materials online easily because of technological advancement and artifical inteligence.
With the advancement of technology, nowadays people have stoped investing in printed materials as it requires space to keep them and also leads to wastage of natural resources. Moreover, the resources available online are authentic and can be accessed free of cost. Therefore, people prefer not to waste paper and be economical. For example, the buisness enterprenuers while traveling for work often choose reading from mobile phone or a tablet rather that carring books or journals with them because they are not convenient.
Furthermore, with the inovation of artifical inteligence people are more prone to gadgets. Artificial Inteligence can give you information of everything or anything around the world. Hence, now individuals do not have to get into the hassle of reading dozens of books to get an information. For instance, AI can act as a instructor and coach students for their examination in future. Additionally, it can also brief the books in a story formation which is easily understandable to students. Consequently, students and teenagers will be more interested in investing in a laptop or a computer than a book.
To conclude, with the rise in technology and introduction of artificial inteligence in the world globally, there has been a decline in the market of printing industry as now every information is easily available on the internet without any charges.
