IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Newspapers and books are the source of information . People buy newspapers to get information about the current affairs and to keep eye on political situation . Books provides knowledge and increase vocabulary .
We can say that use of books and newspaper will reduce in the future but not completely abandoned . People buy newspapers to read news but news is now broadcasted on the T.V channels . This completely abandoned the role of newspapers but newspapers are now still live. In future there is a chance that newspaers were not published . Nobody buy newspapers but there is a future of books .
I partially agreed with that statement which is mentioned above . Soon there is no need of printing newspapers and newspaper will not published . From my perspective books will continue to publish because books are used in schools , colleges and in the universities .
There is still need of books in the future because books have information stored on it .
A student can not learn anything related to his course onilne for hours . He have to buy books or notes for his daily learning . Although books are easy and convenient way of learning as compared to mobile or any other source .
In conclusion I want to say that books will continue in future as well as in present but there is no sureity about newspaper. Both are the source of knowledge but in last i want to say that books have a bright future and continue for too long .
