IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 6.0)
In upcoming times, no individual would be spending money to grab printed form of information from magzines, pamplets or any other source, as everything is going to be available freely over the internet. In my opinion, I strongly agree that information via paper is now outdated, and populace would not prefer buying for reading. This essay will discuss the views detail and will provide a logical conclusion.
There are various reasons due to which allocating a small segment of earning will not make sence for reading information on paper. Firstly, there are now several media which are available for fetch information online with the help of advanced technology, thus enabling to read and understand news at your own pace and time. As a result, not only news can be seen or watched, but also men and women can browse websites and place an order in a restaurant or cafe. To exemplify, it has made youth smart enough to become self sufficient without asking anyone for help. Another reason behind this is you can read or listen worldwide update or watch videos over certain topic and even read several articles of your own choice. This, in turn, provides an opportunity to listen or hear what we like and not what's available.
On the other hand, a significant people reckon that they still pay some money for subcription to go through knowledge without any advertisement or to read after certain limit. To began with, it is moving towards earning profits by enhancing our view and embrassing what's happening around the world without any disruption. For instance, some websites charge nominal fee for a month or a year depending on plans and features given to redeem subcription, however, it could be benficial only if is used regularly. Moreover, there could be some sites which does not cost any charges. For example, one of the leading newspaper in Asian country costs some deposit for reading current affairs over digital devices.
In conclusion, viewpoints are divided on online reading over paper based as it is an eco - friendly option. Although there are valid reasons included in my perspective, I believe choosing digital news is more reliant and successful choice.

However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or awkward, such as 'To began with' and 'On the other hand, a significant people reckon'. Referencing and linking phrases occasionally lack precision, which affects the flow of ideas. While the overall arrangement remains coherent, the frequent minor flaws in cohesion and referencing place this response firmly in the Band 6 category.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student attempts a range of vocabulary suitable for the academic task, utilizing terms such as 'eco-friendly', 'subcription', and 'current affairs'.
