IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the future individuals don't prefer to buy printed news because they can read news from their smartphones and also watch news from television. There are lots of benefits of it individuals have smartphones they can can from it without paying and also good for environment. I agree with given statement and i will talk about it in upcoming paragraph.
To begin with, in modern era every individuals have smartphones for their daily uses. With the help of smartphones they can news easily because there are lots of newspaper maker launch their news applications for smartphone users in free of cost. It is a beneficial for individuals because with the help of news applications they can read news anytime and anywhere.
Moreover, it is aslo beneficial for environment. Because papers which is use for making newspaper is made from trees and it is impact on environment because in present day their are lots of trees cut down daily for making papers. If individuals should prefer to read news online it is a beneficial for environment. Futhermore, also save a lots of money of newspaper developers which they spend on papers. For example, article published by Hindustan times in 2025 was that we are launch other news application for our users because nowadays everyone have smartphones and it is also helps to save environment because there are lots of trees cut down for papers making.
To conclude, if individuals prefer to read news online it is beneficial for newspaper companies. They can save their lots of money and also good for environment.
