In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
There is onging debate about public, that they will buy printed newspapers or books or they should be able to read all the things online without spending money. From my perspective i am totally agree public will be read all the news and information online.
To begin with, it is clearly evident that now the world changes rapidly and the era of new technologies are comming. There are several websites available for reading any knid of information also there is considerable numbers of news channels are provided news on daily bases. However, today if anyone want to check what is happening in the world you can get everything by just one click because now it is the time of social media and everything is going on social media. For instance, cosider a person who wants to do their studies. He dont need to do this by physical books, he just open his laptop and search the website according to his need and get all the data about his studies.
On the other hand, there are some individuals who used to read books and newspapers. Mostly, those are our grandparents or old age because they have habits for learning through books and they also enjoying to read the newspapers. In addition, our new genration are not friendly with physical reading because they have their own mobiles and now the schooling system is changed, they prefer online studies rather then physical studies it's also save expense of travelling.
In conclusion,in my opinion i am strongly agree with those who prefer to learning online instead of paying for books and newspapers.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether printed materials will be completely replaced by free online content in the future. The writer establishes a clear position agreeing with this view. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the argument regarding younger generations and online studying ("our new genration are not friendly with physical reading") is stated rather than fully extended with deeper analysis or varied examples. While all parts of the prompt are touched upon, the supporting points lack depth, placing this performance firmly in the Band 5 to 6 range. Because the main position is discernible and relevant ideas are present, a score of 5.5 is appropriate for Task Achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates some organizational structure with basic paragraphing, separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, overall progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions and mechanical cohesive devices. For example, the transition "On the other hand" is used to introduce the counter-argument about older generations, but the logical link between paragraphs feels disjointed. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence starting with "He dont need to do this..." where the antecedent lacks precision. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within paragraphs often falters. These limitations prevent the response from achieving a higher band, making Band 5.0 a fair and accurate reflection of the organizational control demonstrated here.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses a limited but minimally adequate vocabulary to express basic ideas about technology and reading habits. There are numerous instances of incorrect word choice, unnatural phrasing, and spelling errors, such as "onging" instead of ongoing, "comming" instead of coming, "knid" instead of kind, "cosider" instead of consider, and "genration" instead of generation. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary items like "rapidly" and "considerable," persistent inaccuracies in collocation and word formation cause noticeable strain for the reader. The range of vocabulary is restricted mostly to everyday terms, aligning well with the descriptors for Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic compound forms. Attempts at complex sentences frequently result in structural errors, such as run-on constructions and tense inconsistencies, for example: "From my perspective i am totally agree public will be read..." and "He dont need to do this by physical books..." Punctuation and capitalization are also erratic, with lowercase "i" used frequently and missing commas around introductory phrases. Frequent grammatical errors cause difficulty for the reader throughout the text. These persistent flaws across basic and complex structures indicate that the performance fits the Band 4.5 to 5.0 descriptors, warranting a score of 5.0.
