In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 4.5)
eventually i agree with the statement that newspaper will fade away from the market and very few people will be left to read it and soon after we will witness newspaper as entique
firstly, this mark the start of the revolutionary era where everyone read online and can use digital media to read whatever they want.in addition it has many benefits like you can read it whenever you want to read it regardless of the location just having cellphone and sometime with internet you can access to thousands of things to read and have a peace of mind on the other hand, newspaper had many few things and also it quite a burden to carry the newspaper around.secondly on newspaper you got the news which happened yesterday but while online it help you keep updated regarding latest events.
however, every things comes with its pro and cons.i disagree with the statement that without paying you can read anything infact internet is also the source of income like newspaper.however in newspaper u had to invest in printing, material and pay the author while same goes on internet u pay to website owner which provide you platform to sell your article while costumer also pay to provide the funds needed.
lastly, i will only say that reading online without paying is very much good idea that you can find many platforms which helps you read for free and they cover their expense by running ads on their platform so its a win for all

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both parts of the prompt regarding the disappearance of printed media and the idea of reading online without paying. Your position is somewhat mixed, initially agreeing that newspapers will fade away as an 'entique' before partially disagreeing with the free-of-charge aspect of the prompt. However, your ideas are underdeveloped and lack strong academic support. For instance, your argument that newspapers are a 'burden to carry' is a simplistic point, and the progression of your argument becomes slightly confused when you jump between whether content is free or paid. To reach a higher band, you need to extend your arguments with more robust reasoning and maintain a clearer, more consistent stance throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The essay lacks proper punctuation, capitalization, and paragraphing conventions, which severely disrupts the flow. You use basic cohesive markers such as 'firstly', 'on the other hand', and 'lastly', but many sentences run together without adequate pauses or full stops, as seen in 'regardless of the location just having cellphone and sometime with internet you can access...'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal structure of these paragraphs is weak. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the overall progression lacks the logical flow expected at higher bands. To improve, focus on separating your ideas into distinct sentences with proper capitalization and punctuation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, utilizing words like 'read', 'online', 'newspaper', and 'things' frequently throughout the text. There are several spelling and word choice errors, such as 'entique' instead of 'antique', 'costumer' instead of 'customer', and the phrase 'every things comes with its pro and cons'. You attempt some less common terms like 'revolutionary era', but inaccuracies in collocation and form prevent clear communication in places. To achieve a higher score, you should incorporate a wider range of precise academic vocabulary and pay closer attention to standard spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
There is a severe lack of basic grammatical control, primarily due to the near-total absence of capital letters at the beginning of sentences and proper punctuation marks like full stops and commas. Many sentences are extremely long, run-on structures containing multiple clauses strung together with conjunctions, such as 'however in newspaper u had to invest in printing, material and pay the author while same goes on internet u pay to website owner...'. Simple sentence forms dominate, and attempts at complex structures are consistently marred by punctuation errors and missing articles. To improve, you must apply fundamental sentence boundary rules, including capitalization and terminal punctuation.
