IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.5)
Individuals will read online every thing free and they would not need to buy a newspaper and any printing material. I agree with this statement that population in the coming years will prefer to read online.
First and foremost, in this modern and technological era, every field of life has transformed by technology but education has changed a lot in the recent years. Therefore, people traveled very long distance to get education or for libraries and spend money on books for their research and course, although new advancement has changed the way of getting education and teaching. For instance, the scholors and learners have access to get thousands of an expensive and unique books online on just one click and easy to carry anywhare in a tablet form. In addition, students can make assignments without tuitor with the assistance of AI and facility of google and internet.
On the other hand, people have to travel more often then before, so it is impossible to carry newspaper and any book all the time with them and read. Now it is easy for people to study anytime and anywhere without wait of reiving parcel and worrying about money. For example, a student who wants to buy a book he must consider many factors regarding buy books, first of all, he worry about money and then he placed his order for book and then wait for the parcel and still uncertainity surrounds him untill he reads a book. In future, technology will replace all printing material in the form of soft form. Although, it has numerous drawbacks about healt and emotions yet, people obsess to use it.
To sum all up, reading becomes easy and affordable for everyone in the near future, because of this people will prefer read online instead of buying printed material.
