IELTS Writing Task 2 question

In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Student answer (Band 5.5)

IT IS DEFINITELY A HARD NUT TO CRACK WHETHER IN UPCOMING YEARS THE RATIO OF BUYING PRINTED NEWSPAPER OR BOOKS WILL REDUCE AS ALL SUCH INFORMATION WILL EASILY AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET WITHOUT PAYING ANY EXTRA CHARGES. ATHOUGH FEW PEOPLE MAY APPROVE THE ABOVE STATED NOTION, YET I COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH THE STATEMENT. HOWEVER, A NUMBER OF ARGUMENTS IN THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS SURROUND MY OPINION.

TO COMMENCE WITH THE FIRST ARGUMENT, IT CAN BE SAID THAT PRINTED BOOKS OR NEWSPAPERS MAY BE LESS IN AMOUNT BUT IT WILL NOT COMPLETELY DISAPPEAR AS THE HARDBOOKS WILL BE USED AS A PART OF STUDY MATERIAL IN THE FUTURE. MOREOVER, AGED PEOPLE ARE NOT TOO MUCH FAMILIAR WITH THE TECHNOLOGY , THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCESS ALL THE ONLINE PLATFORM SO THEY PREFER TO READ NEWSPAPERS AND BOOKS FROM HARDCOPY RATHER THAN FROM THE INTERNET. TO ILLUSTRATE, MOST OF STUDENTS AND READERS PREFER TO READ FROM BOOKS AS THEY DO NOT CAUSE EYE STAIN. MOREOVER, THEY PROVIDE BETTER READING EXPERIENCE WITHOUT ANY DISTRACTION.

NEXT COMES ANOTHER FACTOR LIKE, NEWSPAPERS AND BOOKS HAVE CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE, AS READING IMPROVE CONCENTRATION POWER AND HELP TO IMPROVE VOCABULARY AS ONE CAN MAKE HIGHLIGHTS OF DIFFICULT AND NEW WORDS WHICH HELPS TO REMEMBER THAT PARTICULAR WORD FOR LONG PERIOD. AS A RESULT ONE HAVE HIGH AMOUNT OF VOCABULARY AS COMPARE A PERSON WHO PREFERED TO READ ONLINE BOOKS.

ON CONTRARY, SOME PEOPLE CAN STILL FIND WHO FAVOUR THE GIVEN STATEMENT FOR OTHER REASONS LIKE, E-BOOKS AND NEWSPAPER WILL REDUCE THE FINANCIAL BURDEN FOR BUYING SUCH BOOKS EVERY YEAR FOR STUDENTS AND PAY WEEKLY BILLS FOR NEWSPAPERS AS ALL THESE INFORMATION MATERIAL FIND ON THE INTERNET WITH JUST ONE CLICK WITHOUT PAYING ANY EXTRA CHARGES. FOR EXAMPLE, IT PROVE AS ECO-FRIENDLY AS LESS REQUIREMENT OF PAPER REFLECT THE LESS CONSUME OF TRESS AND REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF CHOPPING TRESS WHICH SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT.

FINALLY TO CONCLUDE, IT CAN BE SAID THAT DESPITE OF HAVING ADVANTAGES, I REFUTE THE MENTIONED NOTION AS IT CAUSES MANY CONCERNS IF FOLLOWED FIRMLY.
