IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, many people believe that printed newspapers and books will disappear in the future because people can read everything what they want onlinefor free. I partly agree with this statement because online reading ic becoming very popular,but i believe printed books and newspapers also will be used for some people.
First of all, reading online is very easy and convenient.People can find everything easily what they want on their mobile phones or computers..They do not need to carry books or newspaper,also some website or applications provide free information.For example, people can also read while travelling. Therefore,online reading can save both time and money.
On the other hand,printed books and newspaper still have some advantages.Many people enjoy reading a physical book because they can concentrate better.Also use mobile or computer screen is not good.Some people also like collcting book or keeping they.For example, students also have physical they textbook because it is easy to mark while they do not understand anything
In conclusion , i believe that online reading will be become more common in the future because it is quick and sometimes free.Howewer,i think printed books or newspaper also significant in the future because many people still prefer physical reading.
