IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
I do agree with the statement that in upcoming generation no one will buy a newspaper to read rather than that they will follow up the same news in internet. As we can use internet without paying to know the news rather than paying for the newspaper.
As years pass there is a tremendous development in the social media, is because of the young generation who are coming up with intresting inventions on apps like facebook,instagram,twitter,youtube, which helps providing information that is happening
all around the world. In olden days one should wait for the whole day to read newspaper and get information that is happening all around the world, due to a lack of telecomunications like TV and mobile phones
Although in those days printing news in news paper with bright colours might attract the kids with a specific area in the paper for them to solve puzzles and drawing pictures but in future as the vigrous increase in the number of smart phones , laptops and the tabs might attract children more than the newspaper.
Overall social media plays a crucial role in every individuals life by meeting their needs of knowing information like geopolitics,weather reports much more better than the information in the newspaper. These apps will highly effect the people. However, using internet in a proper way will provide information. There are people who use social media in an appropriate way to find out the news all around the world.
In conclusion , as the increase in the developing of social media attracting the people to get news by scrolling the information just in minutes. So the newspaper will not be used.
