To begin with, due to rapid growth of technology many indiviudals prefer digital information rather than printed one. For instance, peoples can access digital books or newspaper at anytime , like at traveling, in office . Online gives flexible to read and mainly without paying which helps many students in study . | Criterion | Band |
|---|---|

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task and presents a clear position regarding whether printed materials will disappear completely. Relevant ideas are introduced, such as the convenience and cost-effectiveness of digital platforms alongside the preference for offline reading and reduced screen time. However, some of these ideas remain under-developed or somewhat generalized. For instance, the discussion on why people revert to traditional formats during internet issues or for specific office tasks is introduced briefly without deeper extension. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to fully develop each main point with more detailed explanations and more robust supporting examples rather than relying on brief mentions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a recognizable structure, including an introduction, body paragraphs addressing both sides of the argument, and a conclusion. Information and ideas are logically sequenced for the most part. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes mechanical or faulty, as seen in transitions like 'When the internet or some other issues are coming then we usually choose', which make the flow slightly awkward. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct arguments, but the connection between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother and more logically managed to ensure clearer progression throughout.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The writer uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common vocabulary and phrases such as 'rapid growth of technology' and 'cost-effective'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling that reflect a limited and minimally adequate range. Examples include typographical errors and awkward phrasing like 'newsppers', 'arugue', 'increase rate of newspaper', and 'peoples can access digital books'. While these inaccuracies do not completely impede communication, they occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and prevent the lexical score from reaching a higher level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response features a limited range of structures, utilizing a mix of simple and some complex sentence forms, such as 'While others arugue that they will be able to read everthing they want online without paying'. However, attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, and there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, including missing articles, incorrect prepositions, and subject-verb agreement issues like 'it not alll the printed newspaper or books will close'. These errors require some effort from the reader to process, placing the grammatical performance firmly within the expected boundaries.
