In the future nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is often argued nobody will buy printed journal and notebooks. i completely agree with thsi view beacsue online is available all the material. they are not need to busy anything newspaper and books.
the primary reason for my view is that people is not buy newspaper and notebookd because of the highly technology you can need naything to search and getting any imformation you can easily seeach online they are easy to search not to carry any kind of journal and books your hand is total free. because you can use your mobile phone an dthey are easily to to read a any kinf of imformation. that;s true peope is not buy any journal or books because in the future they are higher advanced technology, they are mostly use the mobile phone and ither gudgets. For instance they are easily to carry and save the money do not spend your money these kind of things because you rae easily access on your gudgets .
Another significant reason is that mobile phone or other gudgets is not benefits for your eyes and they are not use able because they are easiy week your eye because all the time you have watch the imformation and using phone all the time. journal and books are more preferable because they are collect and stay and read the ither peopen because they have hugh number of paper but phone you are not sharing the other person but mobile phone is single. For instance they are very useful it nay other work newspaper and books you can given any other person.
In conclusion, i completely agree because they are very usefull tool and because of te highly technolgy it is possible ecah and evrthing you can do easily there is not need to take any ectra afforts to take and buy any kind of matreials because they are easily available online .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response addresses the prompt minimally, presenting a clear position that online reading will replace printed materials, but the ideas remain very limited and under-developed. While the writer attempts to explain why print will disappear, the reasoning focuses on vague statements about technology and convenience without exploring the topic with fully extended or supported points. The argument shifts confusingly in the third paragraph, where the writer briefly suggests that digital devices are bad for the eyes and that books are preferable, which contradicts the stated position of complete agreement. The response shows a partial address of the task, meeting the basic requirements for a discussion on the future of books and newspapers, but lacks the depth and extension of ideas required for higher levels.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some basic organization with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but the response lacks a clear overall progression. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal cohesion of the paragraphs is frequently faulty and mechanical. Referencing is often unclear, such as the pronoun 'they' being used ambiguously throughout the text to refer interchangeably to people, devices, and materials (e.g., 'they are not need to busy anything' and 'because they are easily access on your gudgets'). Cohesive devices are basic, repetitive, and sometimes inaccurate, making it difficult for the reader to follow a smooth logical path from one idea to the next, particularly in the contradictory shifts seen in the third body paragraph.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, showing a limited range that is only minimally adequate for the task. The student relies on simple terms and makes noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word formation, such as writing 'journal and notebooks' instead of journals and notebooks, 'busy' instead of buy, and inventing non-standard phrases like 'highly technology'. Spelling errors are frequent throughout the text, including 'beacsue', 'naything', 'imformation', 'seach', 'gudgets', 'easiy', 'week', 'hugh', 'ither', and 'ecah'. These lexical inadequacies and frequent errors cause noticeable difficulty for the reader and restrict the response to a basic expressive range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The grammatical range is very limited, consisting mostly of simple and attempted complex sentence forms that are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in verb forms, tenses, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions within grammatical patterns, such as 'people is not buy', 'you can need naything to search and getting any imformation', 'you can use your mobile phone an dthey are easily to to read a any kinf of imformation', and 'there is not need to take any ectra afforts'. Punctuation is also problematic, including run-on sentences, comma splices, and random capitalization issues like starting sentences or clauses with lowercase letters. These frequent errors cause strain and difficulty for the reader in understanding the intended meaning of many sentences.
